Situated on a shared sandy beach reminiscent of the New England coast, this classic summer compound was designed in response to its close proximity to neighbouring lots, as well as its direct access to the water. A series of simple shingle buldings enclose a large courtyard, maximizing private outdoor space towards the back of the property. On the waterfront, however, the buildings open up entirely, blurring the line between interior and exterior space, and taking full advantage of the direct access to the beach.
